Chinese Works of Art

Our auctions feature a diverse range of Chinese artworks, including ancient bronzes, ceramics, jades, sculptures, carved wooden screens, boxes, furniture, and traditional paintings from the Neolithic period to the Qing dynasty. We also handle Modern and Contemporary Chinese paintings, and occasionally, works of art honouring Chairman Mao.

Japanese Works of Art

Our sales typically include ceramics, cloisonné enamels, lacquerware, bronzes, screens, textiles, and prints from the Edo and Meiji periods. In recent years, we had the privilege of auctioning netsuke from the collection of Edmund de Waal, author of The Hare with Amber Eyes. We are always pleased to assist families in dispersing collections inherited from previous generations.

Selling at auction with us is seamless and rewarding. Visit our Kensington Olympia saleroom any Tuesday or schedule an appointment for another day. Our experts will assess and value your pieces in person, or you can submit photographs for an online valuation. If needed, we can also arrange a home visit. Once you decide to sell, we take care of the rest.
