Sabry Helmy Ragheb studied in Rome and gained a Diploma of Fine Arts in 1952 and a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in Egypt in 1965. With a professional life spent in teaching and education, he participated in many solo group shows in the US, Japan, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Between the years of 1949 and 2007, Sabry Ragheb was a part of many exhibitions in some of Cairo’s significant galleries from Droub to the First Salon of Cairo Atelier, Gougan and finally, the Picasso Gallery. In 2018, Liwan Gallery in Zamalek held a retrospective for the late artist. Winning many art prizes throughout his career, his works are held in collections in the US, Italy, China and Egypt.
