Alexandre-Evariste Fragonard (1780-1850), the son of the famous painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, first trained in his father’s workshop, then became the assistant of the painter David. Between 1806 and 1839 he also created numerous decorative designs for Sèvres porcelain. For another example of this rare shape, ascribed to 1817, see O.
