with a 6 inch silvered chapter ring applied over the dial plate engraved with tulips and signed 'Wm Wood / Nailsworth / fecit 1707', the conventional movement with anchor escapement and external locking plate striking on the top-mounted bell, the typical posted case with hinged panels to sides and iron panel to back, on ball feet, with dolphin frets between the urn finials, the rear with suspension hoop and wall spurs, with chains and pendulum, case 38.5cm high overall
