with long slender blade of flattened-diamond section, thickening, with blunt edges and inlaid with minute red pigment panels within a copper alloy frame on each face at the ricasso, tapering grip moulded at the base, formed with flattened sides and overlaid front and back with a large copper alloy panel engraved with panels of geometric ornament, and domed pommel decorated en suite, 118.0 cm blade
